| Job Summary |
Eastern Washington University Department of Athletics is seeking a skilled and innovative Associate Athletic Director to lead the Academic Services unit. Under the general supervision of the Senior Associate Athletic Director for Internal Operations, the Associate Athletics Director will operate with a high degree of autonomy and is in charge of creating, executing, and monitoring academic support programs to serve approximately 350 student-athletes, from 14 sports, in accordance with NCAA, Big Sky Conference, and Eastern Washington University regulations.
The successful applicant must have a demonstrated history of the ability to manage, lead, and collaborate with constituents in the Athletics Department, campus constituents and with relevant external entities. Candidates for consideration are responsible for ensuring the integrity of the Athletics Academic Services area and alignment with the organizational goals of the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics at Eastern Washington University.

The salary for this position is $66,949. In addition to salary, the university offers a comprehensive benefits package including health insurance, life and disability insurance and retirement. | Conditions of Employment |
- Attendance at EWU athletic contests and/or special events may be required some nights or on weekends.
- This position, during the course of university employment will be involved in the receipt of, or accountability for, university funds or other items of value, as well as the unsupervised access with the developmentally disabled, vulnerable adults or children under the age of 16. The offer of employment is contingent upon successful completion and passing of a background check prior to beginning employment.

| Required Qualifications |
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Counseling, or a related field
- Three (3) years full-time professional experience working in student-athlete academic services or commensurate experience within intercollegiate athletics
- Demonstrated excellent interpersonal communications and working in a collaborative environment
- Knowledge of FERPA and NCAA rules and regulations governing student-athletes’ academic performance
- Demonstrated interest, ability and/or experience promoting cultural competency, universal accessibility, and/or diversity.
