The Associate Athletic Director for Athletics Business is responsible for providing operational and financial support to all of Athletics by serving as the primary administrator with responsibility for overseeing the daily financial operations of the department; performing accounting operations and managing financial audits and internal control functions; assisting with overall fiscal support and analysis.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field of study.
• 5 plus years of financial operations experience in the sports industry (collegiate or professional) or higher education.
• Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Sports Management or related field of study.
• Experience with NCAA financial reporting.
• Valid Texas driver's license.
• Must be insurable under the University Motor Vehicle requirements.
• None
• Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles, preferably in a nonprofit environment.
• Skill to perform complex accounting and financial reporting duties.
• Skill in use of Microsoft Office products, particularly Excel.
• Ability to extract and analyze financial data in a computerized environment.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Ability to demonstrate strong analytical, problem solving and research capabilities and communicate results.
• Ability to demonstrate a high level of independent judgment to perform complex accounting and financial reporting duties.

• Visual acuity to read information from computer screens, forms and other printed materials and information.
• Able to speak (enunciate) clearly in conversation and general communication.
• Hearing ability for verbal communication/conversation/responses via telephone, telephone systems, and face-to-face interactions.
• Manual dexterity for typing, writing, standing and reaching, flexibility, body movement for bending, crouching, walking, kneeling and prolonged sitting.
• Lifting and moving objects and equipment up to 10 lbs.
• Work is indoors and sedentary and is subject to schedule changes and/or variable work hours.
• This role is an on campus, in-person position.
• There are no harmful environmental conditions present for this job.
• The noise level in this work environment is usually moderate.
