The Athletic Compliance Office serves as a resource to all members of the Drexel Athletic community with respect to NCAA regulations, Coastal Athletic Association rules, departmental and university issues. The Compliance Office shall maintain up-to-date knowledge, monitor the legal and regulatory environment of intercollegiate athletics, and abide by the letter and intent of the NCAA, Coastal Athletic Association and Drexel University. In addition, the office will administer rules education programs to staff and student-athletes as well as offer interpretive support to those associated with Drexel Athletics.

Student Athlete Recruiting:

Student Athlete Recruiting:
Administer the National Letter of Intent (NLI) and serve as primary contact with the NCAA.
Approve and monitor prospective student-athlete’s official and unofficial visits to campus.
Monitor all student-athlete recruiting activities.
Serve as a liaison for Enrollment Management and International Students and Scholar Services (ISSS) Office.
Eligibility:
Oversee and assist with student-athlete certification:
Initial: Confirm NCAA Eligibility Center Institution Request Lists regarding academic and amateurism certification and contact the NCAA as necessary.
Continuing: Certify student-athletes in conjunction with the University Registrar and Academic Advisors.
Transfers: Certify undergraduate and graduate student-athletes with oversight by the Faculty Athletics Representative.
Run daily report of student-athlete’s registration status to ensure that all are full-time.
Compile and maintain accurate NCAA squad lists.
Conduct compliance education for all student-athletes.
Administer all NCAA student-athlete forms for beginning of the year.
Scholarship:
Monitor scholarship limits (equivalencies) and fund sources; communicate scholarship budget to coaching staff via updated scholarship worksheets.
Distribute scholarship renewals, non-renewals, cancellations and increases.
Serve as the primary liaison to the Financial Aid Office and Business Services Office Enrollment Analytics.
Serve as the primary liaison to the Tax Office in relation to international student-athlete taxes.
Serve as liaison with VP of Enrollment Analytics for institutional need based read communication and updates.
Confirm accurate and up to date data sent by Enrollment Analytics and Financial Aid for incoming student athletes Student Athlete Services.
Oversee the student athlete housing process for incoming freshmen, fall preseason student athletes and continuing students.
Oversee the book ordering process for all book scholarship student athletes.
Serve as primary liaison between Barnes & Noble, Financial Aid and Athletics’ Business Office on ensuring NCAA and University compliance with the book policies.
Awards & Benefits:
Monitor Boosters and External Awards and Benefits.
Oversee the NCAA Student Assistant Fund (SAF).
Monitor Countable Athletically Related Activities.
Distribute, collect and approve Length of Season Reports.
Name, Image and Likeness:
Serve as the primary contact for student athletes regarding name, image and likeness activities.
Maintain an updated policy and NIL guidelines; communicate with general counsel and NIL working group on necessary changes; deliver all updated information to student athletes, athletic staff and university constituents.
Serve as liaison for Admissions, Financial Aid and ISSS.
Provide compliance education to student athletes, staff, and university constituents.
Serve as University compliance contact for INFCLR software.
General:
Oversee the development, implementation and monitoring of all systems designed to ensure compliance with NCAA, CAA and University rules/regulations for all sports.
Serve as the University liaison with the NCAA and conference offices regarding all compliance issues.
Monitor camps and clinics involving Athletic Department staff.
Review and interpret new NCAA legislation and proposals; disseminate changes to coaches and staff.
Report violations to the NCAA and/or CAA.
Draft and submit waivers to the NCAA and/or CAA (e.g., Medical Hardships, Eligibility).
Maintain recruiting and compliance software and manage institutional workflows via ARMS Software.
Assist in the facilitation process of implementing new NCAA protocols and working with proper University areas to ensure NCAA and University standards are met and new policies are put into effect, i.e., Sexual Violence Prevention efforts.
Reporting:
Track Academic Progress Report (APR) and Graduation Success Rate (GSR).
Assist with select metrics of NCAA Financial Reporting.
Other:
Oversee and conduct performance management evaluation of the Compliance Coordinator.
Serve as Sport Administrator for at least one Division I sport by providing direct oversight of the Head Coach, conducting performance management evaluation of the Head Coach and evaluation consultation of the Assistant Coach(es).
Other administrative duties include promotion, monitoring, advising and supporting coaches and student-athletes within the program.
Advise the Senior Athletic Cabinet, consisting of the Athletic Director, Deputy Athletic Director, SWA and Senior Associate Athletic Directors, regarding policies and procedures pertaining to NCAA rules and regulations.
Serve on Department Athletic Cabinet, consisting of Senior Associate, Associate and Assistant Athletic Directors. The Athletic Cabinet advises and supports the Athletic Director in determining the mission and action of the athletic department.
Serve on Department Liaison Committee consisting of Sport Administrators and Liaisons. Committee shares information and ideas maintaining consistency among the University’s varsity programs.
Serve on Department Athletic Council consisting of senior level managers (Associate & Assistant Athletic Directors) and key administrators (Directors, Assist Directors). Council supports the Athletic Director in the determining mission and action of the programs.
Required Qualifications
Minimum of a Bachelor's degree and 3 years of experience working in higher education or Equivalent.
Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with NCAA Compliance Platforms (LSDBi, RSRO, etc), ARMS, Banner, Microsoft platforms.
Master's degree.
Experience working with Compliance or NCAA rules.
Strong communication skills.

This position is classified as Exempt , grade M. Compensation for this grade ranges from $75,200 - $112,790 per year. Please note that the offered rate for this position typically aligns with the minimum to midrange of this grade, but it can vary based on the successful candidate’s qualifications and experience, department budget, and an internal equity review.
