About the Position:
This role is an on-campus, in-person position.
In collaboration with the Deputy A.D./Chief Revenue Officer the Associate A.D. for Revenue, Strategy and Innovation will assist with the implementation and execution of key strategic revenue generation initiatives across the department.
The position will also be tasked with using a data-driven approach to enhance all areas of revenue generation and assist with the execution of the comprehensive revenue generation strategic plan.
Essential Functions:
Coordinate with Ticket Sales and Operations to create a data-driven approach to sales and retention strategies.
Identify and strengthen third-party partnerships to enhance and elevate revenues, attendance, and fan and community engagement.
Special revenue generation projects for the department that include revenue generation initiatives that prepare SMU for the ACC transition.
Work collaboratively with development to ensure departmental alignment on fundraising strategies.
Position requires regular evening and/or weekend work for competitions and events.
Position requires some travel for competitions and events.
Qualifications
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree is required. Master's preferred.
A minimum of five years of work experience in collegiate athletics is required. Some experience working across revenue generating units is also required.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Candidate must demonstrate strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate broadly across the University and develop and maintain effective relationships with a wide range of constituencies. Must also demonstrate strong written communication skills. A strong customer service orientation is essential.
Candidate must possess strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and analyze problems, as well as devise solutions. Must also have strong organizational, planning, and time-management skills. A strong focus on attention to detail and strong project management skills are essential.
