The Associate Athletic Director of Internal Operations is primarily responsible for managing the following athletic programs: business office, marketing, sports medicine, event and programming, and ticket operations. This role reports directly to the Athletic Director.
Support to the Athletic Director by providing leadership, organization, administrative oversight, for the Department of Athletics. Assists with the continual development and implementation of a gender-equity plan.
Collaborates with fellow team members to solve complex, high-impact issues.
Strategically develops policies and procedures, analyses impact, and proactively addresses issues.
Coordinates NAIA, EADA report, and Title IX guidelines. Advises AD on Title IX Updates/Issues/Concerns. Serves on campus Title IX Committee.
Serve as the student employment liaison. Oversee the success of the department’s student-athletes, including their academics, life skills coaching, health, safety, and welfare.
Participates in conferences and national organizations.

Participates in institutional professional development and training.
Support to the Athletic Director in ensuring full compliance with NAIA, conference, and institution regulations.
Advise, coach, and counsel student-athletes academically, athletically, and socially.
Recruit students to the University that can be successful in a collegiate setting and ultimately graduate from the institution.
Display behavior consistent with professional ethics and the FMU faculty and staff handbook.
Assist with gameday operations in collaboration with the Assistant Athletic Director of Facilities & Events
Supervise and assist The Sports Medicine department with any administration duties if necessary.
Coordinate all gameday ticketing and set-up on ticketing system, Hometown Ticketing.
Ensure all athletic department staff are CPR/AED/First Aid certified and complete the Motor Vehicle form to ensure qualifications to drive university vehicles if necessary.
Serve as Human Resources liaison. Complete documentation to post jobs, hire staff, and submit resignation documents.
Serve as Student Affairs/ Housing liaison.

Proficiency in Microsoft 365, as well as knowledge and understanding of the organizational structure, workflow, and operating procedures.
Moderate physical activity. Requires handling objects of average weight up to fifty (50) pounds or standing and walking for more than four (4) hours per day.
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution with three (3) plus years progressive experience in intercollegiate athletic program administration; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Master’s degree preferred.
Flexibility to work outside of normal business hours.
