Implementation of a comprehensive program of prevention, recognition, evaluation, and immediate care of athletic injuries to student-athletes.
Coverage of baseball practices, games (home and away), and conditioning to prevent, assess and treat injuries.
Injury assessment and therapeutic treatment and rehabilitation of orthopedic injuries.
Communicating with team physicians, coaching staff, and administrative personnel about athletic injuries, illness, modifications, etc.
Maintain accurate records of student athlete medical histories, injury reports, etc.
Instructor in Dept. of Kinesiology.
Clinical Preceptor for athletic training education program, supervising athletic training students.
Drug site coordinator.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Bachelor’s degree in a related field with two (2) years of Athletic Training experience or the equivalent experience.
State of Texas licensure (

First aid,
CPR
and
AED
trained.
Class C Driver’s License.
Master’s degree.
Ability to properly assess and treat athletic injuries.
Ability to communicate effectively with: coaching staff, administrative staff, parents, athletes, and team physicians.
Ability to drive university vehicle.
Ability to travel with team.
