Associate Athletics Director for Academics & Compliance

PRIMARY DUTY:  This position will serve as Associate Athletic Director Academics & Compliance within the department of Athletics.

1. Serves as an institutional representative to the NCAA and MIAA
2. Is responsible for the compliance program as required by the NCAA and MIAA
3. Serves as a liaison to the University registrar and faculty athletics representative regarding topics pertaining to academic functions, the student success center, the Student-Athlete Success Program, academic advisement, and eligibility issues 
4. Serves as the liaison to the student-athlete advisory committee and oversees the areas of student services within the athletics department

5. Serves on the athletics administrative team
6. Assists in events management and staff supervision as assigned by the Director of Athletics
7. Assists with public relations and special events as assigned by the Director of Athletics
8. Performs other duties as assigned by the Director of Athletics

REQUIREMENTS:
Education: Bachelor’s degree
Skills: Basic computer skills enabling the ability to utilize NCAA compliance software; strong human relations skills; desire to be of service to student and staff members

WORKING CONDITIONS:  This position may work and travel nights, weekends, and holidays as necessary. This position must purchase and maintain a cellular device and service that will be used for work functions. This position must be responsible for plan choices, calling areas, service features, terminations clauses, and paying for all charges associated with the cellular device and service.
        
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:  Responsible for game management during weekends and evenings, including student employees at said events
 
TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS:  Ability to lift up to 20 pounds
