The Associate Athletics Director for Sport Administration reports to the Executive Associate Athletics Director for Administration and will assist in providing day-to-day support and leadership to the Sport Administration team, consisting of 10+ primary and secondary sport administrators. This role assists and supports the strategic leadership and administration of all 35 varsity sports programs, including direct oversight of select varsity sports programs. This position serves as a member of the department’s sport administrator team that is committed to the core values of tenacity, collaboration, and passion and advancing Dartmouth College Athletics and Recreation through its strategic priorities.
Bachelors or equivalent combination of education and experience
Required Qualifications - Skills, Knowledge and Abilities
Four or more years experience or combination of education and experience.
Proven leadership and management skills.
Three or more years of athletics administrative experience, preferably including sport oversight and/or collegiate coaching experience.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills for constructive interaction with associates, assistants, coaches, department staff, student-athletes, administrators, and faculty.
Ability to exercise good judgment and discretion in sensitive situations and work effectively in a fast-paced and complex work environment.
Demonstrated success engaging and building collaborative relationships with various stakeholders, including coaches, student-athletes, faculty, staff, campus, and corporate partners, donors, and community members.
Ability to work both independently and as a member of a team.
Working knowledge of
NCAA
rules.
Master’s Degree
Previous supervisory experience and experience as a collegiate athlete or coach.
