Develops and executes marketing plans that support all varsity sports at Cleveland State University (
CSU
). Creates individual ticket programs and promotions, groups sales strategies, advertising campaigns, and community programs designed to increase attendance and revenue, with a specific emphasis on basketball. Responsible for a variety of ticket operation functions for sports and postseason tournaments. Develops, plans, and executes communication and outreach activities that generate interest and support for
CSU
Athletics in efforts to increase department revenues. Performs other functionally related duties as assigned.
Bachelor’s degree in sport management, marketing, communications, business, or related field.
Four (4) years of experience in sales, ticket operations or marketing, and promotions.
Experience developing and implementing innovative ticket sales, marketing and promotions strategies, and tactics that increase revenue.
Supervisory or leadership experience.
Valid driver’s license and ability to establish and maintain driver eligibility under
CSU
Driving and Motor Vehicle Policy.
Master’s degree in sport management, marketing, communications, business, or related field.
Seven (7) years of experience in sales, ticket operations, or marketing and promotions.
Ability to perform all duties and responsibilities in compliance with all
NCAA
, and
CSU
rules and regulations.
Knowledge of ticket operations platforms.
Effective written and verbal communication skills, organizational skills, and decision-making abilities.
Excellent interpersonal skills and have a “Customer Focus” attitude and delivery.
Ability to effectively engage with team members when issues arise to ensure appropriate communication and develop effective resolution plans.
Ability to manage projects, meet deadlines and tackle emergencies and difficult situations.
Ability to be flexible regarding daily work schedule, including the ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, Teams, and PowerPoint.
