Job Summary:
Eastern Mennonite University, a NCAA Division III institution committed to academic and athletic excellence, seeks a highly organized, innovative, driven, and detail-oriented individual for the position of Associate Athletic Director for Operations. Reporting to the Director of Athletics, the successful candidate will supervise and ensure the seamless operation and management of the department's day-to-day operations and athletics facilities, supporting a positive, equitable, and safe environment for student-athletes, staff, faculty, and visitors. Situated within the Division of Student Affairs,, Intercollegiate Athletics at EMU strives, through the administration of 17 NCAA Division III intercollegiate varsity and club sports, to advance the University’s overall mission of preparing students toserve and lead in a global context. Reporting to the Director of Athletics, the Associate Athletic Director will supervise and ensure the seamless operation and management of the department's day-to-day operations and athletics facilities, supporting a positive, equitable, and safe environment for student-athletes, staff, faculty, and visitors.

Required Skills/Abilities:
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in a related field and minimum of five years of professional experience in athletic event structure and operations, including at least two years of supervisory experience in event/gameday operations required. Advanced Degree in sports management, facility management, or a related field, familiarity with NCAA Division III intercollegiate athletics and higher education policy issues, experience in strategic planning and revenue generation through facility rentals and/or knowledge of inventory control, applicable safety requirements, and building systems preferred.
Physical Requirements:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to sit and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, and climb or balance. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus. The employee must occasionally travel to meetings and conferences off campus, which may include some overnight travel.
