Franklin & Marshall College is recruiting for afull-time, 11month position of Associate Certified Athletic Trainer.

Job Details:

• Location :F&M Campus -Lancaster, PA
• Classification :Full-time / Exempt
• Schedule :40 hours, Monday - Friday. Some evenings and weekends required.
• Reports to : Director of Sports Medicine
• Department : Athletics & Recreation

Job Description:

The Associate Certified Athletic Trainer is responsible for the delivery of athletic training services for varsity and select club sports and Supervisor of the Sports Medicine work study student employees. The Associate Certified Athletic Trainer is responsible for the health and well-being of the student athletes.

Essential Functions:

• Prevention, emergency care, first aid, evaluation, and rehabilitation of injuries to varsity and select club sport student athletes as assigned by the Director of Sports Medicine. On-site practice and contest medical coverage.
• Assure proper documentation of medical injuries in an electronic medical records system following all HIPPA and FERPA policies. Effective communication with the Team Physician, LG/F&M Student Wellness Center and off campus Orthopedic Physicians.
• Provide direct supervision of department work study student employees, both Office Assistants and Student Sports Medicine Assistants. Schedule student employees, maintain student employee budget, assure all related Student Employment Office paperwork is completed for hires and re-hires, and supervise of competency completion.
• Consultthe coaching staff on conditioning, nutrition, and protective equipment.
• All other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree.
• At least 1 yearof experience directly with Athletic training of student athletes.
• National Athletic Trainers Association, Board of Certification
• Licensed(or eligiblefor license) through the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Department of State Bureau of Professional and Occupational Affairs.
• Certification in CPR and AED, Basic Life Support or equivalent.
• This position requires driving for college business. The successful candidate must possess a U.S. or Canadian driver's license which has been valid for at least two years, have a driving record that is free from excessive motor vehicle violations within the last three years, and have had no convictions in the last 24 months for driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

• Intermediate level of proficiency with Google Suite and/or Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability and willingness to provide excellent service and to work in a collegial manner with students, faculty and staff, and other constituencies is essential.
• Successful interview.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 3 or more years of experience directly with Athletic training of student athletes.
• Certified American Heart Association BLS Instructor.

Additional Information:
