General Summary of Position:
The Associate Director of Creative Services is responsible for assisting in the development, execution, and management of creative content for UMass Lowell Athletics and its 16 teams. This position will create dynamic and engaging multimedia content that enhances the River Hawk brand, drives fan engagement, supports recruiting initiatives, and promotes the success of UMass Lowell student-athletes, coaches and programs across digital and social platforms.
Essential Job Duties:
Serve as the primary creative video contact for all 16 teams, producing high-quality content, including video features, motion graphics, hype videos, reels, and digital storytelling content for use across UMass Lowell Athletics social media platforms, website, videoboards, broadcasts & more. Work under the direction of the Director of Multimedia & Production and the Associate AD for Communications & Creative Content and in collaboration with team communications contacts to ensure consistency in departmental and team messaging, branding and creative strategy.
Collaborate with athletic staffs, such as communications, marketing, multimedia & production, and external relations to develop creative assets for the UMass Lowell Athletics Department that support ticket sales, fan engagement, fundraising, sponsorship fulfillment, brand awareness initiatives and special events. Additionally, collaborate with campus marketing & communications staff to develop creative video that enhances enrollment.
Work collaboratively with coaches and staff to develop recruiting-focused creative materials while ensuring compliance with NCAA, conference, and university rules and regulations.
Capture video content at practices, competitions, community outreach events, and other department special events and functions.
Assist in the creative vision and execution of video stations during athletics media days, including setup and capture of hype video and GIF content for social media.
Travel with athletic teams as necessary to provide creative content coverage for select regular season and postseason competitions.
Assist the Director of Multimedia & Production with the supervision, scheduling, and mentorship of student assistants, interns, and freelance staff.
Assist the Director of Multimedia & Production in producing live event and broadcast content for ESPN+, NESN, and AmericaEast.TV productions when necessary.

Only Internal Professional (SEIU 888 Professional Union) Bargaining candidates will be considered during the first 10 business days of the posting. All other candidates will be considered after that period.
This position is full-time, benefited and in the SEIU professional union in grade P16. Anticipated salary based on qualifications within the range: minimum $59,674, 25th quartile: $67,879 and midpoint of $76,085.
