We are searching for an Associate Athletic Trainer to be assigned to Varsity programs within the DAPER athletic training department. Reporting to the Director of Athletic Training, you will provide athletic training services to the Stanford University student-athletes as well as supervise other Athletic Training staff. You will communicate regularly with team physicians, coaches, administrators, parents, and support staff responsible for the health, wellbeing, and performance of our student athletes. This position is based on the Stanford main campus.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Management, Leadership and Interpersonal Relations:
    o Provide leadership in administrative areas, as assigned by the Director of Athletic Training.
    o Sit on the leadership team and provide management in administrative areas, as assigned by the Director of Athletic Training.
    o Participate in the hiring, training, and development of athletic training staff.
    o Develop and maintain effective working relationships by collaborating frequently with fellow athletic trainers, sports medicine physicians and clinic staff, sports nutritionists, physical therapists, sports psychologists, and sports performance coaches.
    o Support the management and mentorship for advanced postgraduate athletic trainers and athletic training students.
