The Associate Director, Athletics Annual Giving supports the development and deployment of the comprehensive and strategic direct response fundraising plan to build a strong and sustainable base of donor support for Georgetown Athletics and its varsity sports.

Working closely with the Director, Athletics Annual Giving and other essential partners to coordinate, plan, design and implement a solicitation, stewardship, and engagement strategy for all major communications, including for all 30 sports.
Executing the development and deployment of all direct response marketing and fundraising appeals for Georgetown Athletics.
Serving as the brand manager for Athletics Annual Giving, managing all marks, logos, colors, and consumer art, in addition to leading the digital and print design in online and direct mail solicitations and fundraising campaigns for Georgetown Athletics.
Liaising with coaches and support clubs for varsity sports to fundraise for sport-specific campaigns, seasons, post-seasons and special projects.
Collaborating with Annual Giving Data Analytics and Marketing Operations to track and report on fundraising efforts and strategies, and successfully deploy direct response fundraising for Georgetown Athletics.
Working closely to maximize fundraising and engagement efforts with partners like Hoyas Unlimited, the Athletics Department, the Director of Intercollegiate Athletics, Georgetown Athletics Ticket Office, Marketing and Promotions, Athletics Communications, and Athletics Development.
Work Interactions and Work Mode Designation
The Annual Giving team, within the Office of Advancement, drives donor acquisition, retention and growth for Georgetown University through traditional and innovative annual giving strategies, in-depth analysis, and strong internal partnerships. The team is comprised of three functional areas: data and analytics, marketing operations, and school and unit partnerships.
The Athletics Annual Giving team reports centrally to Annual Giving, and the Associate Director reports to the Director for Athletics Annual Giving.

Requirements and Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree
3-5 years of experience in annual giving or development/fundraising required, preferably in athletics
Other Skills
Excellent written and oral communication
Self-motivated but able to work well on a team
Extremely well organized and detail-oriented
Able to successfully handle multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously, and consistently meet all deadlines and goals
Able to assimilate data, exercise sound judgment and discretion, and work independently
Accuracy in materials preparation and ability to maintain confidentiality are required
Technical Qualifications or Specialized Certification
Knowledge of desktop publishing applications (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.), Adobe Publisher, WordPress, Google Analytics and Search Engine Marketing (SEM) and Search Engine Optimization (SEO) is preferred
Previous experience with CRMs, such as Salesforce Marketing Cloud, as well as Microsoft Office suite and donor databases is a plus
