The Associate Director, Internal Operations contributes to the Internal Operations team in the areas of event management, football gameday operations, the planning and execution of NCAA and conference championships, game and facility scheduling, game contracts, camps, and other duties as assigned. This position is charged with working independently as well as collaboratively on athletic events, projects, and initiatives throughout the Internal Operations department. This individual is responsible for communicating with executive staff members, coaches, cadet-athletes, visiting teams and officials, and other Army West Point Athletic Association Inc. (“AWPAA”) and United States Military Academy (“USMA”) constituents in a professional, personable, and highly respectful manner.
Scope of Impact
Acting as an extension of the Assistant Athletics Director, Internal Operations, this position has a high scope of impact. The employee must coordinate with coaches and various staff members from within the Army West Point Athletic Department (“AWPAD”) and USMA, coaches and staff from visiting teams as well as game officials and representatives from the applicable conference league office. In conjunction with the assigned sport administrator, this individual will serve as the on-site representative and event manager at athletic contests on behalf of the Director, Game Operations and Event Management.

The responsibilities outlined in this job description are integral to department success. All decisions associated with designated responsibilities, will be made in conjunction with the Assistant Athletics Director, Internal Operations and the Associate Athletics Director, Internal Operations.

Travel
The position will be expected to regularly visit and work out of athletic facilities on campus. This position will occasionally require travel to neutral site competitions.

Pay Range
$55,000-$60,000
This job posting contains a pay range, which represents the range of salaries that AWPAA believes, in good faith, at the time of this posting that it might be willing to pay for the posted position. AWPAA expects to hire for this position near the middle of the range. Only in truly rare and exceptional circumstances, where an external candidate has experience, credentials or expertise that far exceed those required or expected for the position, would AWPAA consider paying a salary or rate near the higher end of the range.
