Job Summary:
The Associate Athletics Director demonstrates a strong appreciation for and commitment to the mission, vision, and values of the College and the Athletics Department. This role assists in the leadership, management, and strategic direction of the Athletics Department and serves as a key member of the Athletics Administrative Team. The Associate Athletics Director supports the development, implementation, and assessment of departmental goals and strategic initiatives.
Leadership & Supervision
Serve as a member of the Athletics Administrative Team and assist in the overall leadership and management of the Athletics Department.
Represent Concordia at MIAC and NCAA events, including MIAC meetings, and the NCAA Convention, as appropriate.
Attend/supervise events as assigned.
Demonstrate a high level of professionalism and ethical leadership.
Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Athletics Department.
Provide sport supervision/direct report supervision as assigned, including leading year-end evaluations for direct reports.
Assist the Athletic Director with budget planning, policy development, personnel hiring, onboarding of new employees, and departmental operations.
Adhere to college budgetary policies and procedures.
Collaborate with campus partners and maintain strong working relationships (including but not limited to Admissions, Financial Aid, Academic Affairs, Facilities and Student Support Services).
Athletics Operations
Provide leadership and support for athletic event management, including oversight of Game Management staff to ensure efficient event operations.
Manage the cashless ticketing system.
Supporting compliance with NCAA Division III, conference, and institutional rules.
Hire non-student game personnel for basketball and football (e.g. scorer’s table and clock managers).
Oversee staff member assigned to facilities scheduling and work closely with Conferences & Events.
Serve as department Liaison to the Department of Facilities Management.
Manage larger partnerships (e.g. BSN).
Revenue Generation
Oversee the annual athletics fundraising campaign in collaboration with Advancement staff.
Oversee and assist the staff member assigned to corporate sponsorships/partnerships.
Manage facilities rentals in partnership with Conferences & Events.
Student-Athlete Experience
Serve as co-advisor to the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC).
Provide oversight for SAAC-led student-athlete programming and initiatives (e.g. Golden Cobbs).
Lead coordination efforts for cross-campus student programming.
Other Duties

Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree
4 years of working experience in college athletics or closely related field
Skills and Abilities:

Salary – 55,000.00 - 72,000.00 USD Hourly Wage
The final salary will be determined based on factors such as education, experience, skills, certifications, and alignment with the position's requirements. Other considerations may include internal equity and market conditions.
