Position Summary
The Associate Head Coach will play a crucial role in the leadership, development, and success of the Clark College Women's Soccer program. The Associate Head Coach will assist in all aspects of team operations, including coaching, recruiting, game preparation, and student-athlete development.
Coaching & Player Development:
· Assist in the planning, organization, and execution of team training sessions, ensuring alignment with program philosophy and playing style.
· Design and implement individualized and position-specific training plans that support player growth and tactical development.

The Associate Head Coach will assist in all aspects of team operations, including coaching, recruiting, game preparation, and student-athlete development.
Coaching & Player Development:
· Assist in the planning, organization, and execution of team training sessions, ensuring alignment with program philosophy and playing style.
· Design and implement individualized and position-specific training plans that support player growth and tactical development.
· Analyze team and individual performances using video and data analysis tools to provide feedback and enhance player development.
· Support student-athletes' academic success, leadership growth, and overall well-being.
· Collaborate with the Head Coach to manage game day strategies, opponent scouting, and in-game adjustments.
· Lead onboarding of new players into the program, ensuring smooth transitions and cultural alignment.
Recruiting & Talent Identification:
· Implement a recruiting strategy to identify and attract high-caliber student-athletes who align with Clark College's values and competitive aspirations.
· Build and maintain strong relationships with high school and club coaches, prospective student-athletes, and their families.
· Oversee prospective athlete evaluations, recruiting visits, and communication with recruits.
· Stay updated on NWAC recruiting regulations and ensure full compliance.
Cultural Leadership & Communication:
· Act as a bridge between coaching staff and players to ensure trust, alignment, and clear communication.
· Uphold and reinforce team culture by proactively managing potential conflicts and setting expectations.
· Maintain honest, direct, and transparent communication with players, staff, and recruits.
· Lead by example, fostering a competitive and inclusive team environment.
Program & Administrative Support:
· Assist in the coordination and execution of team travel, logistics, and scheduling.
· Support the planning and execution of team fundraising, community outreach, and promotional events.
· Contribute to summer camps, ID camps, and clinics to strengthen community engagement and program visibility.
· Work with athletic department staff to support student-athlete academic progress, eligibility compliance, and holistic development.
· Represent the program and Clark College positively in the community and professional settings.

Minimum Qualifications:
· Coaching experience at the collegiate, high school, or competitive club level
· Ability to lead training sessions & implement tactical game plans
· Strong understanding of player development & positional coaching
· Experience in scouting, recruiting, and talent evaluation
· Commitment to fostering an inclusive and competitive team culture
· Valid driver's license and ability to travel for recruiting and team events
· Red Cross Standard First Aid Certification/CPR (or ability to obtain upon hire)
Preferred Qualifications:
· Experience in video analysis and performance evaluation tools.
· Proven ability to develop and execute successful recruiting strategies.
· Familiarity with NWAC rules and regulations.
Additional Information
· Position Type: Part-Time Coaching Position
· Stipend: $6,400 (paid July 1 - Nov 31)
· Start Date: July 1
· Evaluation: Performance will be assessed annually at the conclusion of the season.
