Ability to cooperatively manage projects, knowledge of project management methodology, tools, and reporting. Thorough knowledge of and experience working with automated student information systems, especially Student Records. Understanding, experience, and/or willingness to learn existing and new technology in the accomplishment of project goals and reporting project outcomes. Demonstrated ability to effectively supervise and manage staff with full knowledge of personnel policies and practices; to work independently in carrying out the management and supervision of Student Records units; and to prepare reports, monitor workload and compile data as required to evaluate the activities and programs within those units. Ability to effectively train staff providing documentation, coaching, and feedback over time.

Thorough knowledge of and experience in applying and interpreting policies governing Student Records. Demonstrated ability to analyze complex situations accurately and adopt effective courses of action. Knowledge of research techniques and statistical principles. Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and plan policy implementation with senior management in Enrollment Services and Academic Affairs. Demonstrated ability to carry out assignments without detailed instructions and to obtain facts upon which decisions or recommendations may be based.
Knowledge of and experience with automated student information systems. Demonstrated ability to advice and counsel students and staff regarding educational policy requirements, alternatives for resolving academic policy problems, make or recommend exceptions to policy when appropriate, and to effectively communicate denial of a student request when necessary. Experience interacting and communicating with ethnically and culturally diverse communities. Working knowledge of Microsoft applications: Word, Excel, etc.

Collaboration and Teamwork: Understands, commits, and constructively supports team goals, issues, and decisions, holding themselves accountable to team objectives.
Effective Communication: Able to tell a story based on data to inform and influence decisions.
Relationship and Network Building: Uses Ability to communicate with an ethnically and culturally diverse campus community. Ability to follow all university policies, procedures, and guidelines including but not limited to safety, civility, information security, and non-discrimination policies and procedures. Ability to contribute to a positive university experience for each student and assist in achieving the university's commitment to a "vision of excellence."
Bachelor’s degree in a related field and three years of related experience required. Master’s degree preferred. Minimum of three years of experience supervising and training processing staff in Student Records. Experience coordinating an operational unit in a large, fast-paced environment and working with a diverse population of employees.
Sedentary work - Involves mainly sitting. Walking and standing are minimal. Lifting is limited to lightweight objects. (10 pounds or less).
Enrollment Services Student Records
Hiring Range: $6,907 - $7,500 per month commensurate with candidate's education, experience, skills, and training
CSU Classification Salary Range: $6,907 - $10,361 per month.
Salary placement is determined by the education, experience, and qualifications the candidate brings to the position, internal equity, and the hiring department’s fiscal resources.
