Springfield College recognizes the unique and important contribution that faculty members with coaching responsibilities make to the academic and co-curricular life of the College. The individual is responsible for all phases of the Women’s Basketball program including competition and practice planning, mentoring of staff, recruitment and development of student-athletes, equipment, contest scheduling, public relations including social media and other duties as assigned by the Director of Athletics. Additionally, a thorough understanding of and accountability to NCAA (Division III member), NEWMAC, and institutional rules and regulations is necessary. The individual will also serve as a faculty member in the Department of Physical Education and Health Education with responsibility for teaching departmental coursework.
The qualified applicant will report to the Director of Athletics. This position is a full-time, nine-month, program-track appointment.

Requirements :
- Interested applicants for this position will have a Master's degree from an accredited institution.
- Preference will be given to applicants with an educational background in Physical Education or a related discipline.
- Preference will be given to applicants with at least three years of college teaching and/or head college coaching experience who can bring diverse perspectives to this growing department and who are motivated to help students succeed.
- A valid driver's license, CPR and AED certification is required.
- Applicants should have a commitment to work in a dynamic work setting with a diverse student population.
