Job Description:
The assistant director for athletic communications serves as the primary media contact for the sports of softball, women’s volleyball, and other sports as assigned. Other assignments included in the assistant director’s duties are social media coordination, writing and editing for the Athletics website and editing department publications such as media guides and game programs, and assisting with football and basketball game operations. The assistant director has a supervisory role for student employees and interns, both in the office and at game events. The assistant director assists with other duties as assigned by the associate athletic director for communications.

Minimum Qualifications:
Education/experience/licensing:
• Bachelor’s degree
• Minimum two years of experience in a related communications field
Communication and other skills:
• Expertise required in desk-top publishing (Adobe InDesign, PhotoShop), statistical programs (Genius) and website editing programs.
• High level of written and verbal proficiency is required.
• High level of social media expertise is required
