Asst Coach, Men's Baseball

Purpose of the Position:

The Assistant Coach, Baseball will assist the Head Baseball Coach in team management and administration to support and reinforce the Athletics Department and University goals.

Duties/Responsibilities
• Recruit and evaluate quality student-athletes
• Train, teach, and provide instruction to student-athletes both on and off the field
• Help to maintain compliance with NCAA departmental and University rules and regulations
• Assist in establishing game plans
• Scout opponents
• Coordinate Team Travel
• Maintain correspondence with recruits
• Assist with preparing the budget
• Assist with program fundraising efforts
• Coordinate film exchange
• Coordinate game day management
• Organize information for visiting teams
• Coordinate equipment purchase and maintenance

• Maintain positive public relationships with the university and community

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and years of experience
• Must have coaching experience
• Must have knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
• Must have basic accounting skills
• Must have excellent interpersonal, written, and communication skills

Desired Qualifications:

• Master’s degree is preferred
• Knowledge of Sports Management is desired
• College Coaching Experience

Published Salary (if available):

$40,000 - $45,000
