The Assistant Softball Coach supports the Head Coach in all aspects of operating a competitive collegiate softball program. This role includes on-field coaching, recruiting, player development, and administrative responsibilities while promoting academic success, sportsmanship, and compliance with institutional and conference regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with planning and conducting practices, training sessions, and game-day preparation

• Provide instruction and player development in assigned areas (e.g., hitting, pitching, defense, or base running)

• Assist with recruiting prospective student-athletes, including evaluations, campus visits, and communication

• Support player academic progress and personal development

• Analyze game and practice film to enhance team and individual performance

• Assist with scouting reports, practice plans, and game strategy

• Participate in team travel, equipment management, and scheduling as assigned

• Ensure compliance with NCAA/NAIA, conference, and institutional rules

• Represent the softball program positively on campus and in the community

• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Head Coach or Athletic Department
