Teach and mentor student-athletes to develop self confidence and leadership abilities as they work towards achieving their goals through individual hard work. Provide the leadership and direction for a highly competitive
NCAA
Division I athletic program, maintain a balance with academic excellence and uphold the standards of the university and the Athletic Department. Create and maintain a positive, nurturing environment for the student-athletes to advance their knowledge and skills, both athletically and personally. Collaborate with the men’s team, as needed, in support of the entire William & Mary Gymnastics Program.
• Must meet physical requirements for the job, including the ability to participate in and lead strenuous physical activities.
• Must work nights and weekends.
• Frequent overnight travel during week and on weekends on a monthly basis through out the year.
• Prolonged period of sitting and standing indoors and infrequent exposure to outside weather conditions.
• Have and maintain a valid Driver’s License and satisfactory completion of University van safety training within 6 months of employment.

Faculty or Staff: 12 month
• Bachelor’s degree and significant or extensive professional level of experience or specialized expertise.
Competencies:
• Skills or competencies related to the sport through previous playing and/or coaching experience;
• Demonstrated leadership abilities gained through prior playing and/or coaching experience in the sport;
• Demonstrated attention to detail and strong organizational, written and verbal communication skills;
• Demonstrated ability to lead small and large group discussions;
• Strong computer skills and the ability to utilize the latest advances in technology.

Not eligible
Remote work eligibility is not guaranteed and is subject to approval. Employee eligibility depends on the likelihood of the employee succeeding in a remote work arrangement and the supervisor’s ability to manage remote workers. Departments and/or Human Resources may amend, alter, change, delete, or modify eligibility.
Up to $40,000
All hiring rates are commensurate with relevant experience up to the advertised amount considering internal alignment.
