Assistant Women's Hockey Coach. Responsibilities will include assisting the head coach in all duties involved in running a competitive Division III women's hockey program and while upholding the College of St. Scholastica’s Benedictine Values and the values of the women’s hockey program.

Assistant Women's Hockey Coach. Responsibilities will include assisting the head coach in all duties involved in running a competitive Division III women's hockey program and while upholding the College of St. Scholastica’s Benedictine Values and the values of the women’s hockey program.
Serve as an effective role model for college-age students within the framework of the College's Benedictine values and mission.
Provide effective communication to the head coach including regular meetings.
Assist in recruitment and retention for a roster of a minimum of 25 student-athletes.
Coach games and practices, including organization and implementation of daily practices. Lead individual skill sessions.
Prepare film breakdown and analysis, and present analysis to team members.
Plan and prepare for games.
Contribute to strength and conditioning program including one-on-one strength and conditioning work with student-athletes.
Ensure safety and well-being of student-athletes.
Monitor academic progress and personal development of student-athletes.
Organize and implement overnight visits with potential student-athletes.
Research academic and athletic credentials with potential student-athletes.
Build relationships with prospective student-athletes and their families through email, phone, and one-on-one meetings.
Coordinate and monitor student-manager and student employee.
Coordinate community service projects for team members.
Uphold NCAA, MIAC and institutional philosophy and rules.
Perform second duty and other responsibilities within the department as assigned by the Athletic Director.
Attend athletic department and appropriate institutional meetings and activities.
Engage/participate in professional development for the sport of hockey and professional development advancing a climate of inclusion in support of college strategic diversity goals.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree AND either 2 years of coaching experience at the high school, club or collegiate level OR experience playing collegiately.
Demonstrated understanding of institutional, conference, and NCAA Division-III rules.
Commitment to the Benedictine Values.
Commitment to the College of St. Scholastica Women’s Hockey Team values.
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to meeting expectations.
Demonstrated organization, initiative, and strong time management skills.
Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Valid driver's license. - Ability to travel for team practices, competition, and scouting in and out of state.
Ability to work evenings and week-ends

Preferred Qualifications:
Video editing experience
Background in strength training & conditioning of student-athletes.
Ability to work as a member of a team in St. Scholastica Athletics.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Previous intercultural or diversity training/professional development.
