Position Description
Temporary/Full-time Assistant Women’s Soccer Coach, $30,000 per year, USC Aiken AthleticsThe University of South Carolina Aiken, an NCAA Division II Institution, is seeking an Assistant Women’s Soccer Coach. Under the direction of the Head Coach, the Assistant Coach is responsible for assisting with all aspects of a competitive NCAA Division II program, including practice and play schedules as defined by NCAA rules. The successful candidate will recruit student-athletes who have the ability to succeed academically and athletically, while promoting, developing, and maintaining positive relationships with the faculty, staff, students, and community. In addition, the Assistant Coach will assist in supervising student-athletes in team settings such as practice, competition, conditioning, team travel, etc. The Assistant Coach will work under the supervision of the Head Coach and Director of Athletics. Employee must be able to make decisions and use discretion; recognize need for and implement changes as necessary; and operate within University, Peach Belt Conference and NCAA rules and regulations. Minimum requirements: Bachelor’s degree and college coaching and/or playing experience in the sport required as well as valid driver’s license and a good driving record. Assists in implementing a successful recruiting program to attract outstanding student-athletes, including off-campus evaluations and contacts, phone calls, email communications, etc. Conduct all aspects of the program within the rules, regulations, compliance and procedures of the NCAA, Peach Belt Conference, Department of Athletics policy manual and the University’s processes and procedures. Knowledge and understanding of all eligibility and recruiting requirements for NCAA, PBC and USCA admissions standards.
