Teaching our student athletes the intricacies of the game of basketball all the while preparing them for life after college. It is our goal for each member of our teams to become leaders in their community and productive members of society. With our teaching our athletes about time management, teamwork and leadership, we feel as though we fit well within the mission of this University.

- Recruitment of quality Prospective Student Athletes who meet the mission of the University and will contribute to our athletic program
- Ability to successfully pass the NCAA recruiting test administered annually
Supervision - 10
- Provide phenomenal academic support for student athletes
- Monitor grades and attendance
- Provide and supervise study sessions
- Provide tutors for student athletes as needed or requested
Other - 5
- Other duties as described by the Athletic Director
- Assist in fundraising activities as well as community engagement and the engagement of the remainder of campus
- May serve as game manager for sports other than women's basketball.
- Will serve as game manager (sports outside of women's basketball)
- Help build community support for all of our programs as well as helping to bring the remainder of campus closer to athletics
Educational Requirements
Bachelor's degree
Required Experience
Minimum of 1-3 years of collegiate coaching experience or equivalent combination of playing and coaching experience.
Preferred Educational Qualifications
Master's degree
This position is a pay grade 6. The starting salary is $35,441.00. Starting salary within this range is based on relevant years of experience.

KNOWLEDGE
- Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations as it relates to the recruitment of prospective student athletes.
- Understanding of the Georgia College mission as well as our entrance requirements.
- Recruit quality athletes who are also quality students
- Ensure that athletes will achieve GPAs comparable to or greater than the University average
- Ensure that athletes graduate at a rate comparable to or greater than the University average
- Thorough knowledge of the game is imperative.
SKILLS
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills and ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a multifaceted community
- Must have strong leadership skills that student athletes will want to follow
