Job Summary

Under direction of the Senior Associate Athletics Director, assist the Football team with their game day coaches video needs, streaming needs (when applicable) and upload and exchange of videos. Film and edit all football practices and events. Perform basic maintenance on a wide range of audio-visual equipment. Hire, train and supervise contingent staff. Assist with UC Davis Athletics Football video fiscal budget.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

·       Ability to lift up to 75-100 pounds to transport equipment from storage room to various working locations.

·       Ability to stand for long periods of time as equipment operator, also to reach up and kneel down frequently.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

·       Work hours outside standard 8AM-5PM schedule.

·       Must be available to travel frequently to provide all video needs during away games.

·       Overnight travel.

·       Work in an environment characterized by constant interruptions and distractions.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required:

Minimum Education/Experience

·       Experience and Advanced knowledge of video test equipment and computer hardware and software: such as catapult thunder, thundercloud, exchange, adobe suite PFF, Windows10/11 and the Microsoft Office Suite.

Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSA)

·       Able to produce quality video within a time frame designated by each coaching staff member. Ability to operate and perform basic maintenance on a wide range of audio-visual equipment including, but not limited to video cameras, Computers, video projectors, monitors, sound equipment, mixers, speakers, microphones, LCD projectors, Catapult problems related to sports editing and user issues that arise, and a variety of cables and connectors.

·       Ability to work confidently under stressful time sensitive situations.

·       Detailed knowledge of safe work practices related to the handling, transporting, setting-up and striking of instructional media/audio-visual equipment.

·       Problem solving, organizational, and excellent verbal and written communication skills.

·       Ability to interact effectively with individuals from various social, cultural, ethnic, and professional backgrounds.

·       Skill in working accurately with details or complex information in order to maintain accurate records and reports.

Preferred:

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSA)

·       Basic knowledge of safe electrical practices. Knowledge of lift safety.
