The Athletic Academic Advisor at Lincoln Memorial University plays a crucial role in supporting student-athletes in their academic pursuits, ensuring they achieve success both on the field and in the classroom. The position operates within the Administration division and is a key member of the Intercollegiate Athletics department. The Athletic Academic Advisor reports directly to the Director of Athletics.
Bachelor’s degree in education, counseling, or a related field

Job Duty
*promote the mission of Lincoln Memorial University to all faculty, staff, students and to the community at large;
*promote effective working relationships among faculty, staff and students;
*participate on university committees;
*(Academic Guidance) provide academic advising to student-athletes, helping them navigate degree requirements and academic policies;
*monitor student-athletes’ academic progress and assist in developing academic plans to ensure timely graduation;
*(Student-Athlete Support) foster a positive academic environment for student-athletes, promoting a balance between academic and athletic responsibilities;
*collaborate with coaches, trainers, and other stakeholders to address the unique academic needs of student-athletes;
*(NCAA Compliance) ensure compliance with NCAA academic eligibility requirements;
*maintain accurate records of student-athlete academic performance to meet NCAA standards;
*(Resource Coordination) connect student-athletes with campus resources such as tutoring, study groups, and academic workshops;
*collaborate with faculty and other academic support services to enhance student-athlete success;
*(Communication) communicate regularly with coaches, faculty, and staff to stay informed about student-athlete progress and challenges;
*conduct workshops and informational sessions for student-athletes on academic success strategies;
*(Data Management) maintain comprehensive and confidential records of student-athlete academic information;
*generate reports on academic performance and progress for the Director of Athletics and other stakeholders;
*complete required institutional and program accreditation reports necessary for the operation and advancement of the university and
*perform other duties as assigned.
