Position Details
The University of Tampa Department of Athletics has a part-time, internship position available for an Athletic Communications Digital Media Assistant to assist with duties associated with a NCAA Division II 20-team athletic program. This position will assist and report to the Assistant Athletic Director for Communications.
Responsibilities
Oversee all student video team workers.
Responsible for generating social media content, infographics and videos to promote UT Athletics
Oversee and post video-related content to department social media accounts.
Ensure content posted to Instagram and all team social media accounts on consistent basis.
Maintain inventory for department cameras, drones, and other equipment per request.
Identify video projects and assign to members of video team along with Video Production and Emerging Media Assistant.
General office work, archiving of videos and management of video team including 2-3 student workers.
Contribute to a work environment that encourages knowledge of, respect for, and development of skills to engage with those of other cultures and backgrounds.

Qualifications
High school diploma, must be working towards Bachelor's degree.
Two years' experience in College/University Athletic Communications Department, marketing, advertising, journalism, film or related field.
Proven background in design of videos.
Proficiency in desktop software environment including Adobe Creative Suite products.
Ability to edit and produce videos in Adobe Premiere.
Event management experience.
Ability to travel, work long hours and weekends.
Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills as well as the ability to establish priorities and manage time wisely.
Knowledge of or the ability to learn The University of Tampa software programs such as Workday and Microsoft Office.
Willingness to embrace new technologies and innovative organizational practices.

Pay Rate
$14.50 per hour not to exceed $15,000 in a 10 month period
Work schedule
Work schedule may vary based on events; however, schedule will not exceed 29 hours per week/1000 hours per year.
