Position Title: Athletic Communications Part-Time Temp Staff

Advertised Pay: $10.25/hour

Campus Location:  Washburn University

Position Summary: The Athletic Communications part-time temp is a motivated self-starter, who assists the Athletic Communications Office with coverage of the school’s 18 athletic programs.

Essential Functions:
Will be the main media contact for Washburn’s men’s and women’s cross country teams, women’s soccer, men’s golf, and men’s and women’s tennis teams.
Nights and weekends are required to cover the various events.

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in sports management, journalism, communications, or a related field.

Required Qualifications:

General sports knowledge or experience in an athletic department.
Demonstrated effective writing, editing, and interpersonal skills.
The ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Physical Requirements:
The ability to carry up to 25 pounds of equipment to various venues.

Preferred Qualifications:
An understanding of StatCrew programs NCAA Live-Scoring programs experience
Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, etc.)
Social media, Video and photography skills
