Athletic Communications Student Assistant

Job Purpose

To assist in the day-to-day responsibilities of the communications office as well as working official athletic events. Gain experience in the general understanding of athletic communications for an NCAA Division I athletic department.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist in preparation and execution of official athletic events
• Learn or work with official stats and the official stat programs of the NCAA
• Assist communications team in official game duties (stats/clip highlights/game graphics/etc.)
• Help create and execute creative/digital content ideas

• Help create and execute creative/digital content ideas
• Support in day-to-day operations of the communications office in collaboration with the external team
• Help maintain statistics and record books as well as writing press releases, feature stories or game recaps

Qualifications

• Flexibility to work nights and weekends
• Strong desire to work in collegiate athletics
• Proficient skills in but not limited to Microsoft suite programs, Adobe In-Design & Photoshop, social media (X/Facebook/IG)
• Attention to details
