Athletic Communications Video Production Assistant (Temporary Staff/Professional)

Serve as a temporary video production assistant for the
UNCW
Athletic Department. Report directly to the Director of Athletics Video & Multimedia.
Assist with coordinating live video streaming for Seahawk Digital Network productions of home events.
Work with subcontractor on live video productions in Trask Coliseum, including games and academic events.
Assist with shooting and editing of video packages and uploading completed projects to UNCWsports.com and social media channels.
Assist with creating pregame intro videos for teams and all creative video needs.
Assist with maintaining an archive of all video footage for future needs.
Assist with coverage of designated sports for athletic communications.
Assist with other special projects as assigned.
Other duties as assigned.
Ability to work nights, weekends, and some holidays. Some travel may be required.
Bachelor’s degree required.
Previous experience in collegiate or professional sports preferred.
Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
Organized, dependable, punctual, willing to learn and a self-starter.
Preferred Education, Knowledge, Skills & Experience
At least 1 year experience with D1 sports
As needed basis – usually evening hours or weekends
Varies by events
Intermittent, occasional work for events
$20.00 per hour
Please note, this is a temporary position. The length of the assignment will be based on department need with the possibility of continuation. Temporary assignments cannot exceed 11 consecutive months without a full 31-day break from employment. Employees in temporary positions are not considered permanent state employees and do not earn leave. Temporary employees are subject to the Affordable Care Act guidelines.
