Understanding of basic accounting principles to read, interpret and communicate regarding budget and other financial issues.
Organized with ability to multi-task.
Knowledge of leadership and team principles with students and athletic staff including full-time and part-time coaches, administrative and support areas.
Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite products.
Duties
Provide leadership and vision to the department with respect to the sports offered
Provide leadership to coaches and the admissions office with the recruiting of student athletes Partner with administration in building and monitoring the athletic department budgets for each sport
Work with faculty for those student athletes who receive academic alerts Oversee compliance with NAIA/AAC
Supervise the athletic department staff (full and part-time) Attend athletic functions as needed to represent the department
Attend college functions as needed to represent the Athletic Department Other duties as assigned (attending meeting, conference functions etc.)
Complete all requirement of your one-year contract within the Office of Academics.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Directly supervises all members of the athletic department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training employees, planning, assigning, and directing work.
In addition, is responsible for interviewing and hiring employees, addressing complaints; resolving problems.
