Primary Responsibilities:

• Lead the development and implementation of a compelling vision and strategic plan for the inaugural launch of the athletic department.
• Lead the identification, cultivation, and solicitation of individual and corporate gifts for the department.
• Collaborate with the Advancement division to identify funding priorities and strategies to fund the athletic department.
• Oversees the selection, supervision, and annual evaluation of coaches, support staff, and athletics trainer.
• Responsible for the creation of the master calendar for athletics.
• Ensures coaches are current on Title IX expectations.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree.
• 3-4 years’ experience of collegiate athletic administration.
• Collegiate coaching experience.
• Successful fundraising experience.
• Eligibility to work in the United States without sponsorship (Nevada State does not sponsor employment-related visas).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master’s degree.

Salary & Benefits

Salary for this position is commensurate with experience. Nevada State University offers excellent benefits, including 17.50% retirement match, 24 annual leave days, beginning balance of 30 sick leave days, 12 paid holidays, educational benefits, and three health insurance plans that can be supplemented with flexible spending accounts or health savings accounts.
