Athletics
The AD is responsible for the overall vision, operations and strategic direction for the University’s intercollegiate athletic programs, with 15 teams, including coordination of present programs and development of new programs in response to campus and community needs.
The AD is expected to build a culture of trust within the Athletic Department and across campus. The AD is responsible for all administrative, management, and supervisory aspects of the Department of Athletics. The AD is responsible for the strategic long-range planning and monitoring of budgets, personnel, sports’ programs, facilities, fundraising, promotions and marketing, compliance and public relations for a
NCAA
Division II program consisting of seven sports for men and eight sports for women. The AD is responsible for holding academic requirements and pursuits as a matter of highest priority for student-athletes, and is expected to foster a culture of inclusivity as it relates to
DEI
, Title IX, and the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference’s (
PSAC
) commitment to equitable search processes. The AD is responsible for assuring that all programs support the University’s mission and comply with all
NCAA
and conference standards.
o Master’s degree required.
o Five years of progressively responsible experience in a position within intercollegiate sports administration or other related industry.
o A clear understanding of compliance enforcement.
o Inclusive leadership style with a proven track record of promoting Inclusive Excellence and a demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
o Supervisory and budgetary experience.
o Proven experience in successful development activities.
o Experience with
NCAA
regulations, Title IX requirements, and intercollegiate athletic conferences is required.

Job Duties
| Description of Job Duties |
o Lead the intercollegiate athletic programs, including coordination of present programs, and development of new programs in response to campus and community needs.
o Oversee all fiscal operations of the department in accordance with university policies and procedures. Design, implement, and perform fundraising activities and revenue generation for athletics; oversee and maintain strong public relations.
o Develop, disseminate, and implement departmental policies and regulations for the conduct of intercollegiate athletic programs. Assure compliance with all regulatory agencies.
o Manage the planning of athletic events as well as maintenance and refurbishing of athletic facilities as needed.
o Prioritize well-being of student-athletes.
