Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Sports Administration or related field and One (1) year related experience working with collegiate athletic program or equivalent combination of education and work experience. Grade 4 (Hourly)
Position Description:
The University of Louisville Athletic Department is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Athletic Equipment Coordinator II (Assistant Equipment Manager) to assist in the day-to-day equipment operations for assigned sport(s). They will be required to lift, carry and load equipment/boxes up to 25 pounds.
The Assistant Equipment Manager will work a non-standard workweek, including nights, weekends, and holidays and travel with the assigned sport(s) as needed for away games.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist in the day-to-day equipment operations for assigned sport(s).
Maintain accurate records by using the computerized inventory and perform inventory checks as requested by the Director of Equipment Operations.
Supervise student managers.
Serve as liaison to Adidas for testing and evaluation of all Adidas product(s).
Assist with placing all vendor orders.
Assist with any recruiting related functions.
Assist in oversight of assigned equipment room(s).
Oversee the packing of all travel and required gear for games.
Responsible for receiving, marking, fitting, and distribution of uniforms and equipment for both coaches and student-athletes.
Responsible for the maintenance of uniforms and equipment, including but not limited to laundering, storing, and repairing.
Adherence to University, ULAA, ACC, and NCAA policies and procedures.
Qualified Candidates Must: Be AEMA Certified or obtain within one year of hire and have a valid driver's license and be insurable by University insurance carrier.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Work experience in NCAA Division I athletic equipment room.
Experience with an inventory management system (e.g., ACS, Helmet Tracker)

Target Compensation Minimum:
$20.92
Compensation will be commensurate to candidate experience.
