Position Information

Responsibilities include providing all athletic equipment services for the assigned sports. This includes receiving, maintaining inventory, storing, fitting, issuing, maintenance, laundry, and transportation of athletic equipment. Also, the incumbent will work with the Director of Facilities, Operations & Equipment and coaches in budgeting and ordering. Duties will also include supervising student workers, managing the laundry facility, assisting with the management of athletic events, and other duties as assigned. Weekend and evening work may be required. Responsibilities also include Athletic Event set-up and Facility conversions. Supervision of part time staff, interns, and student workers at Athletic Department events. It is expected that the incumbent exercise professional, courteous behavior, and good judgment when interacting with student athletes and workers, coaches, visitors, and co-workers.

Minimum Qualifications:

• BS in Sport Management or related field
• 2 years of part-time, student or full-time athletic equipment and/or event operation experience with NDSU Athletics
• Operating knowledge of an athletic laundry system
• Experience with conversions and event set up for multiple athletic venues
• Computer skills with basic proficiency in MS Office
• Good interpersonal and oral communication skills
• Must be able to do heavy lifting at times
• Must be able to walk and stand for extended periods of time
• Compatible with the philosophy of intercollegiate athletics at NDSU

Preferred Qualifications:

• AEMA Certification or Certifiable within one year of hire
• 3 years of experience as a full-time, graduate assistant or student at a NCAA DI institution
