BSU’s Athletics and Recreation department is looking for students to perform as Bristaco, the official bear mascot for Bridgewater State University, for various athletic events.

The Athletic Events Mascot will be expected to:

• Perform as Bristaco
• Promote School Spirit at Athletic Events
• Work evenings/weekends

Position Description

BSU’s Athletics and Recreation department is looking for students to perform as Bristaco, the official bear mascot for Bridgewater State University, for various athletic events.

The Athletic Events Mascot will be expected to:

• Perform as Bristaco
• Promote School Spirit at Athletic Events
• Work evenings/weekends
• Work shifts scheduled between 2-4 hours

Eligibility requirements:
Must be a Bridgewater State University undergraduate student registered for a minimum of six credits for the Fall 2026 semester.

Preferred Qualifications

• Reliable
• Outgoing personality
• Punctual
• Previous mascot experience a plus
