Job Summary
The Athletic Facilities and Field Maintenance Manager, under direction, oversees and directs the day to day operations and maintenance of all athletic department facilities and playing surfaces.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Implement game day preparation and cleanup for athletic fields and facilities.
Manage all preparations for activities using athletic fields and facilities.
Oversee and instruct assigned staff.
Oversee the painting and upkeep of athletic fields and facilities.
Supervise the post-game cleanup.
Supervise the painting and upkeep of grass practice fields.
Instruct assigned staff in field maintenance and upkeep of athletic fields and facilities.
Prepare and order maintenance supplies needed for all athletic facilities.
Coordinate with University, all services provided by them, for developmental and non-departmental activities.
Supervise the daily maintenance of the athletic fields (mowing, watering, fertilization, chemical applications). Oversee preparations for practice.
Plan summer maintenance projects for athletic fields
Oversee the game day field preparations for all home games.
Plan summer maintenance projects on athletic fields and facilities.
Assist with other department activities.

Additional Responsibilities
Responsible for maintaining and monitoring equipment needs and recommending repair or replacement as necessary.
Develop and maintain a budget.
Responsible for the security and storage of equipment and/or for facilitating spaces for such storage for all Department of Athletics Teams.
Maintain ultimate responsibility for coordination, management and communication of comprehensive facilities’ schedule and to include all events (internal, external and athletic) and upkeep to all parties involved.
Responsible for all facility rental agreements.
Maintain continual and thorough familiarity with all applicable NCAA, Conference and University rules and regulations.
Coordinate regularly with coaches and other Athletics personnel to judge and assess needs and requirements competitions surfaces and venues.
Oversee the game day administration for Department of Athletics events.
Maintain accurate records: attendance at home contests and monitor concessions tickets sales revenue.
Minimum Requirements
Education – Bachelor’s Degree in related field.
Experience – Five years’ related experience.
An equivalent combination of training and experience may be considered.

Must possess ability to plan, develop, organize and manage all aspects of the operational activities of the facility.
Must be able to work under deadlines.
Ability to demonstrate good judgement and respond quickly and professionally under pressure and in a very open and public environment.

Salary: $50,162/annually
