Bargaining Unit Announcement: This is NOT a bargaining unit position with American Federation of State, County & Municipal Employees (AFSCME).

Standard Work Schedule:  Shift: Other Shift

If Not a Standard Work Schedule:  Mornings, Nights, Weekends, Holiday, Travel Required

Job Duties and Responsibilities: Assist the Director of Athletics Media Relations in the day-to-day operations of the NMSU Athletics Media Relations office; supervise, direct, delegate, and evaluate work of assigned staff; produce game notes, media guides, programs and releases; game day management; media customer service; update sport-specific website and work with multiple social media channels. Promote NMSU's sports programs, the Athletics Department and New Mexico State University through public relations activities. This position will require travel.

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience: 
Associate's Degree + 2 years of relevant experience or a Bachelor's degree.

Working Conditions and Physical Effort

Environment: Work is normally performed indoors.

Physical Effort: Light physical effort. Effort applies to no more than two (2) hours per day.

Risk: No or very limited exposure to physical risk.
