Barton College seeks an Athletics Operations Coordinator, a full-time staff position with an immediate start date. Barton College competes at the NCAA Division II level and is a member of Conference Carolinas and an affiliate member for football of the South Atlantic Conference.

The Athletics Operations Coordinator reports to the Vice President/Director of Athletics and will work closely with the Associate Athletic Director for External Relations and Assistant Athletic Director for Internal Operations. The Athletics Operations Coordinator will be involved with all aspects of the department, with specific emphasis on providing support in the areas of compliance, finance, revenue generation, and the office of the Vice President.

The Athletics Operations Coordinator reports to the Vice President/Director of Athletics and will work closely with the Associate Athletic Director for External Relations and Assistant Athletic Director for Internal Operations. The Athletics Operations Coordinator will be involved with all aspects of the department, with specific emphasis on providing support in the areas of compliance, finance, revenue generation, and the office of the Vice President.

Primary Responsibilities :

• Assist with the implementation, coordination, and facilitation of the Athletics compliance program. 
• Monitor recruiting database in Front Rush and provide data entry for NCAA Eligibility Center and National Letter of Intent program.
• Provide rules education support to staff and student-athletes.
• Communicate and collaborate with campus partners, including Admissions and Financial Aid.
• Coordinate general administrative service functions of the Department of Athletics.
• Support procurement functions, including accounts receivable and payable, team travel, and purchasing card transactions. Coordinate with campus partners, including the Business Office.
• Coordinate camps and conferences requests, assist with generating camps and conferences leads, oversee applications and billing. Coordinate with campus partners, including Facilities and Student Life.
• Assist with ticketing and game-day operations.
• Oversee Bulldog Club membership and hospitality, and Corporate Sponsor contracts. 
• Manage calendar and coordinate schedule for Vice President/Director of Athletics. 
• Assist the Vice President/Director of Athletics with communications, presentations and events.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications :

• Bachelor’s degree required. At least 1 year’s office work experience preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint); Excellent written and verbal communication skills; strong organizational skills and ability to work independently within the structure of a team. Must be able to exercise good judgment and to maintain a high level of confidentiality, to relate easily to a wide variety of individuals, and to effectively balance and execute multiple priorities. Prior experience with college athletics preferred.
