POSITION SPECIFICS
Penn State Intercollegiate Athletics is seeking a candidate to fill the role of Athletic Performance Coach for Men's Lacrosse and Women's Tennis. This position plans, evaluates, and implements the strength training and conditioning programs for intercollegiate athletics, team and club sports, and the University community; develops and enforces safety policies for training environments; selects and monitors athletic equipment; serves as an educational resource for classes, camps and clinics; assists in the recruitment of prospective student-athletes; acquires and maintains relevant professional certifications; follows NCAA and conference policies.
MINIMUM EDUCATION, WORK EXPERIENCE & REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS
If filled as Strength Trainer - Advanced Professional, this position requires: Bachelor's Degree 3+ years of relevant experience Required Certifications: Strength and Conditioning Coach Certification - Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coaches Association; National Strength and Conditioning Association If filled as Strength Trainer - Intermediate Professional, this position requires: Bachelor's Degree 1+ years of relevant experience Required Certifications: Strength and Conditioning Coach Certification - Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coaches Association; National Strength and Conditioning Association
BACKGROUND CHECKS/CLEARANCES
This position requires the following clearances in addition to applicable background checks: PA State Police Criminal Background Check, PA Child Abuse History Clearance Form, and Federal (FBI) Fingerprint Criminal Background Check. This position requires that you operate a motor vehicle as a part of your job duties. A valid driver’s license and successful completion of a motor vehicle records check will be required in addition to standard background checks.
SALARY & BENEFITS
The salary range for this position, including all possible grades, is $54,060.00 - $86,400.00.
