Job Description:

Brown University Athletics and Recreation is seeking candidates for the Athletic Trainer position. Located in Providence, Rhode Island, and a member of the Ivy League, our intercollegiate athletics program consists of 34 varsity teams with approximately 1,000 athletes who participate within the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA-DI).

This 11-month seasonal role will provide medical care and health education to ensure the safety of, reduce the risk of injury to, and guide the rehabilitation of Brown student-athletes under the guidance of the Head Athletic Trainer and/or Associate Head & Assistant Athletic Trainers This role may also provide coverage for camps and clinics as assigned.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree, required; Master’s Degree, preferred.
  • RI Athletic Training License required (to be obtained prior to hire date).
  • NATABOC Certification, required.
  • Maintain NATABOC Certification Continuing Education Units (CEUs) every reporting period, as required.
  • A minimum of one year of relevant athletic training experience required. Appropriate Emergency Cardiac Care certification as required by the BOC.
