Under the supervision of the Director of Athletic Training, team physician and Athletic Director, this position is responsible for the prevention, diagnosis, and intervention of emergency, acute, and chronic medical conditions involving impairment, functional limitations, and disabilities. To optimize activity and participation of over 700 athletes participating in 22 NCAA Division III sanctioned sports.
Projected start date is August 1, 2024.

| Responsibilities | Athletic Team Coverage:
Serve as certified athletic trainer for intercollegiate athletic teams. Attending all practices and home games. Travel with the team when appropriate
Assist and support the director of athletic training with all supervisory and athletic event coverage.
Assist director of athletic training in the design and implementation of comprehensive program of injury prevention, injury care, and physical rehabilitation for all intercollegiate athletes.
Administrative Responsibilities:
Assist and support the head athletic trainer with all administrative and organizational responsibilities.
Assist and support the director of athletic training with record keeping and data entry including medical clearance, injury, treatment and medical referral documentation.

| Special Instructions to Applicants |
This position requires maintaining current certification as an athletic trainer, through the BOC, Inc. and current certification in Emergency Cardiac Care. This position requires travel with teams to athletic competitions, including overnight and out of state trips. It requires flexibility in scheduling and evening and/or weekend hours. It may require providing own transportation to various sporting events. Satisfactory DMV check will be required in order to drive university vehicles.
Any offer of employment is contingent upon satisfactory completion and outcomes of a criminal background screening, DMV driving clearance, and signed original acceptance of the Chapman University Agreement to Arbitrate.
