Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree (B.A./B.S.) in Sports Medicine or related field. Two (2) years experience as a certified Athletic Trainer
preferred. Requires current certification by the National Athletic Trainers’ Association Board of Certification
(NATABOC) and the Florida Board of Athletic Training licensure. Valid state driver’s license is required. Degree(s) and
coursework must be from a regionally accredited college or university.
Duties and Responsibilities:
The Athletic Trainer works under the dual direction of a licensed physician for patient care and treatment and the
supervision of the Director of Athletics for campus and administrative activities. Within the defined scope of practice

The Athletic Trainer works under the dual direction of a licensed physician for patient care and treatment and the
supervision of the Director of Athletics for campus and administrative activities. Within the defined scope of practice
under professional certification, licensure and state laws and regulations, the Athletic Trainer develops, implements, and
evaluates a comprehensive sports medicine program to provide athletic training, promote safety and health, and prevent
injuries and illnesses of student athletes. The Athletic Trainer: designs and implements physical conditioning training
programs for student athletes; evaluates, diagnoses, treats, and rehabilitates sports injuries and illnesses; identifies and
mitigates risks of student athlete injury and illness; and, completes and maintains patient care and administrative
documentation consistent with professional guidelines and requirements
