Job Description:
Athletic Trainers are responsible for assisting with sport coverage, administrative duties, supervision of student workers, and compliance with the NCAA Division III sports medicine policies and procedures. An integral part of the position is mentoring student workers and implementing educational programs within the sports medicine department. General duties include, but are not limited to: preventing, treating, and rehabilitating athletic injuries; managing daily operations; assisting with inventory and budget; assisting with assigned teams insurance claims; traveling with assigned team when necessary; acting as a liaison between the student-athlete and his/her coach, team physician(s), and parents; and performing other duties assigned by the Head Athletic Trainer.
This 10-month position includes competitive benefits and a salary commensurate with qualifications and experience. The expected start date is June 1, 2026.
Requirements:
Master's degree preferred. The candidates should possess good communication skills, strong leadership and mentoring abilities, and the ability to create a culture that is both disciplined and caring. Effective and efficient organizational skills and the ability to work unsupervised are required. Candidate must be Advanced Level CPR Certified through the American Red Cross or American Heart Association. He/she must also be NATABOC certified and Georgia State Licensed or eligible. The successful candidate must also be able to work non-traditional hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays. The candidates will also demonstrate an understanding of and commitment to a liberal arts education, Division III athletics, and an appreciation for and commitment to all NCAA, Southern Athletic Association(SAA), and institutional rules and regulations.
