About The Position:

This full-time position carries a 10-month obligation and will be responsible for providing proper and quality athletic training services to all student-athletes as needed. Duties may include but are not limited to; practice and game/competition coverage, assisting with the development and oversight of strength and conditioning programs, and maintenance of injury reports. The Enrollment and Student Success division supports a student’s entire collegiate experience from the point of admission through to graduation. We partner with students, faculty and staff to provide a network of opportunities and services that lead to student success. Collectively, the division of Enrollment and Student Success positively influences the health, safety and well-being of the student body. The department of Athletics & Recreation subscribes to the philosophy that athletics complements the total education experience of our students. We allow multiple ways for students to compete or participate in a variety of quality athletic programs consistent with the overall educational mission of SUNY Plattsburgh.  As an institution that delivers challenging and high-quality experiences to a diverse group of learners, the successful candidate must demonstrate an understanding of, and sensitivity to, diversity, inclusion, and equity-minded policies, programs, and practices.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree
• NATA certification
• NYS Athletic Training License or License eligible
• First aid, CPR, and AED certification at the time of appointment
• Valid Driver’s License
• Ability and willingness to travel and perform evening and weekend work
• A demonstrated ability to work effectively and collegially with faculty, staff, and administrators

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master’s degree
• National Strength and Conditioning Certification
• 1-year minimum experience in the field which can include graduate assistant and/or internship experience

Salary (Applicant View)

$45,000 minimum, plus excellent benefits
