To provide primary athletic healthcare for the men and women athletes of Dartmouth College and to provide Athletic Training coverage for sports practices and contests, including evaluation of athletic injuries, immediate treatment, documentation, physician referral as is appropriate and the design and implementation of rehabilitation programs.
Masters plus 2-3 years' experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
Required Qualifications - Skills, Knowledge and Abilities
Two years experience in college or university athletic training setting.
Experience working with a wide range of both men’s and women’s athletic teams.
Experienced at effectively treating both traumatic and overuse type injuries.
Master’s Degree in Sports Medicine or Related Field.
Knowledge and skill in the use and application of various electrical modalities, including ultrasound, electrical muscle stimulation and iontophoresis.
Knowledge and skill in the application of various preventive taping procedures
Knowledge and skill in the administration of therapeutic & preventive exercise protocols.
Skilled at developing rehabilitation programs for a range of common athletic injuries.
Skilled at the systematic evaluation of athletic injuries.
Certification by the
NATABOC
.
Eligible for State of NH Athletic Training License.
Certification in
CPR
and First Aid.
Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with colleagues, coaches athletes and administrators.
Demonstrated ability to work independently and adapt to changing schedules.
Commitment to diversity and to serving the needs of a diverse community.
Additional, related certifications, such as
FMS
, Active Release Techniques, Muscle Energy, Graston Technique,
