The Assistant Athletic Trainer for Baseball will administer student-athlete health care, coordinate medical coverage for practices, games and treatment sessions, maintains records/forms regarding injury care as well as a broad range of student-athlete health care administration, and coordinates clinical practical assignments with regional curriculum institutions.
Specifically, the Athletic Trainer’s primary job responsibilities include but not limited to the following:
Maintain the daily evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation for all student- athletes for the baseball team with indirect supervision of a fall sport to include coordination of coverage for all athletic events, practices and summer sports camps; prevention, treatment and rehabilitation of athletic injuries. Supervises the baseball graduate assistant athletic trainer. Develops and implements the rehabilitation programs, and provide 24 hour/day access to the student-athletes for whom you are assigned.
This position will be responsible for assisting with pre-participation physicals for assigned sport athletes. Coordinates moving of athletic training equipment and supplies for both home and away baseball games; and coordinate practice field set up in conjunction with graduate assistant. Ensures medical records are complete for assigned teams and assist with
NCAA
and Institutional Drug Testing Program. Executes and communicate physician recommendations on athlete injuries to baseball coaches. Maintains Sportsware Documents daily for assigned sports. Ensure proper licenses are maintained, specifically

Certification and complies with
NCAA

and University rules and policies Other administrative duties as assigned by the Director of Sports Medicine/Head Coach.
Must be able to comply with all

Eligible for state of Kentucky Athletic Training license.
Does this position have supervisory responsibilities?

Bachelor’s plus Master’s degree with one to two years experience in athletic training in a Division I collegiate setting or equivalent is preferred.
