The University of Arizona Athletics Department invites applications for the position of Athletic Trainer. This is an opportunity to assist in the duties of overseeing medical care for Football student-athletes at a Division I University. The successful candidate must be extremely driven, a self-starter, exceptionally organized and still present a self-effacing demeanor.
This position requires the ability work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends, and travel as needed.

Organize and provide medical coverage for assigned team; first aid and emergency care for student-athletes during practices and competitions.
Duties will be performed during off-season and in-season practices, contests, and team travel.
Provide daily treatment and rehabilitation of student-athletes.
Develop and utilize injury prevention strategies for student athletes.
Responsible for practice logistics.
Supervise, train, and schedule undergraduate student workers.
Assist with the operation of the athletic training department; including the coordination and scheduling of medical coverage during home and away competition events.
Continuously update medical record keeping.
Additional duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Ability to operate office machinery (fax machines, computer, telephone, etc.).
Ability to work with computer programs such as Excel and Word.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to multi-task with frequent interruptions.
Dedication and motivation to initiate, lead and support value-added projects.
Meticulous attention to detail.
Knowledge of position related NCAA, Big-12, and University of Arizona rules and compliance.
Self-motivated, results-oriented, and has a positive demeanor.
Demonstrated organizational skills, including the ability to plan, establish priorities and successfully manage multiple priority projects.
Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain positive interpersonal relations.
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with individuals at all organizational levels, and project a positive, professional attitude.
Ability to work nights, weekends and travel as needed.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent advanced learning attained through experience required.
In addition to the education and experience minimum qualifications, Arizona Board of Athletic Training license required.
Three year of relevant work experience, or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
Master's Degree in athletic training or related field.
Graduate from the NATA approved athletic training curriculum.
NATABOC certified.
American Red Cross CPR-AED/First Aid Instructor.
Three years of Division I experience.
Evidence of advanced continuing education.
Experience with injury screening and prevention programs.
Experience with soft tissue mobilization techniques.
Experience with injury tracking systems/electronic medical records.

Notice of Availability of the Annual Security and Fire Safety Report
In compliance with the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act (Clery Act), each year the University of Arizona releases an Annual Security Report (ASR) for each of the University’s campuses. These reports disclose information including Clery crime statistics for the previous three calendar years and policies, procedures, and programs the University uses to keep students and employees safe, including how to report crimes or other emergencies and resources for crime victims. As a campus with residential housing facilities, the Main Campus ASR also includes a combined Annual Fire Safety report with information on fire statistics and fire safety systems, policies, and procedures.
